Buddha’s Botanicals was built on a love of unique plants, beautiful flowers, and helping people discover something they don’t see everywhere else. We specialize in colorful tropicals, unusual foliage, rare finds, and one of the region’s largest collections of Abutilon, also known as Flowering Maples. Throughout the season, we typically carry around a dozen eye-catching varieties known for their incredible blooms, colors, and growth habits.
Rather than offering hundreds of common plants, we focus on a carefully curated collection with true wow factor. Think of it as the HomeGoods approach to plants; limited quantities, constantly changing inventory, and new treasures arriving throughout the season. What truly sets us apart is our commitment to education. Whether through social media, YouTube videos, live sales, or in-person events, our goal is not just to sell plants, but to help people successfully grow and enjoy them. We believe plant ownership should be fun, rewarding, and approachable, no matter your experience level. Today you’ll find us traveling throughout the Northeast attending plant shows, connecting with plant lovers through Palmstreet live sales, creating educational content online, and sharing our passion for plants with customers throughout the country.
Buddha's Growth & Evolution:
2023 - Buddha’s Botanicals was founded as a retail plant shop focused on bringing unique and beautiful plants to local gardeners.
2024 - We shifted our focus and began bringing our plants directly to the plant community through local farmers markets and events throughout the region.
2025 - The business evolved again as we transitioned away from primarily farmers markets and began traveling throughout the Northeast attending specialty plant shows.
2026 - Today, Buddha’s Botanicals focuses exclusively on plant shows throughout Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, and Pennsylvania. We also launched live online plant sales through Palmstreet, allowing us to connect with plant lovers nationwide while continuing to bring unique plants directly to our customers.
Hi, I’m Brad. As a 5th generation farmer, growing things isn’t just what I do, it’s part of who I am ... I’ve spent years growing, trialing, and caring for plants, developing a passion for unique tropicals, unusual flowering plants, and varieties that make people stop in their tracks. Many of the plants you’ll find at Buddha’s Botanicals are grown right here by me, while every plant we offer is personally selected and cared for before it reaches your home.
One of my favorite parts of this business is helping people succeed with their plants. Through our social media channels, educational videos, live events, and plant shows, I enjoy sharing growing tips, troubleshooting problems, and helping plant lovers feel confident caring for their collections long after they leave with a plant. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or just getting started, my goal is simple: help you grow something beautiful and enjoy the process along the way.

Meet the namesake and Chief Happiness Officer of Buddha’s Botanicals.
For those wondering, yes, Buddha’s Botanicals was named after Buddha. He joined our family around the same time the business was born and quickly became its unofficial mascot. While we’ve have a few more furry family members, Buddha is the face of the brand and the inspiration behind the name.
Since the beginning, he’s been a constant presence in the greenhouse and behind the scenes as the business has grown. Buddha takes his responsibilities very seriously. His daily duties include greeting visitors, supervising greenhouse operations, inspecting deliveries, monitoring snack activity, and ensuring every plant receives proper canine approval.
While his horticultural credentials may be questionable, his enthusiasm is unmatched. When he’s not making rounds through the greenhouse, you’ll usually find him following Dad around, relaxing under a shady tree (watching dad), or keeping a close eye on whatever project is happening next.
🐶 Favorite Plant: Any shady tree
🌺 Can Never Have Enough Of: Abutilon flowers
🦴 Favorite Snack: Whatever Dad is eating & Banana-Buddha-Uddha Bread
💧 Fuel of Choice: Good Old H₂O ... fresh please.
